What Are Your Payment Rules And Requirements?

All Airfares must be paid in full at the time of booking by credit card only, regardless of how far in advance of the travel date they are booked. Please note farestore.com reserves the right to delay issuance and/or release of any travel documents until full payment is secured.

How Do I Know My Flight Booking Is Confirmed?

When you have completed your flight booking, you will reach the confirmation screen (your flight booking is only complete once you reach this page). It is advisable to print this page out and keep it for your records.

You will also be sent a confirmation email shortly afterwards.

Both the email and the confirmation page contain details and the price of your flight booking along with the invoice number. You should quote the invoice number if you need to get in touch with us at anytime.

If you haven't received an email from us before, please ensure that you have attached our address to your "safe" list so that your inbox recognizes us and doesn't automatically delete your confirmation email.

What Are 'E-Tickets' And Why Should I Use Them?

Electronic tickets, or e-tickets are now offered by the majority of airlines. An e-ticket confirms your airline ticket purchase without requiring a paper record; the only record of an e-ticket sale is in electronic form in the airline's computer system.

Please note: Some airlines still issue paper tickets for some flights. If you receive a paper ticket, which is a cardboard ticket/coupon in a wallet, you must present this at the airport check-in counter or you will be unable to board your flight. If you are unsure whether you have a paper or e-ticket, please contact res@farestore.com

If you have an e-ticket, it offers the following advantages:

E-tickets allow you to travel without a paper ticket, eliminating the worry of leaving your tickets behind.

You do not have to wait for your tickets to arrive.

E-ticket numbers can be used at self service check-in desks, now offered by some airlines to avoid queuing at check-in desks. These machines use simple touch screen commands and they will print your boarding pass and track air miles (if applicable) automatically. At machine check-in you are required to enter one of the three following methods of identification:

  • The credit card that the airline ticket was purchased with, or
  • A traveller loyalty card, or
  • An e-ticket receipt. Please note the airline reference number given at the time the booking was made.

Are There Special Flight Prices For Infants?

Infant fares can vary between the airlines, although they are usually 10% of the quoted adult fare plus taxes.

Do I Need To Reconfirm Each Flight Shown On My Itinerary Before Departure?

It is common at certain times of the year for Airlines to amend their flight schedules for commercial and operational reasons, and it is therefore advisable to reconfirm your flights at least 72 hours prior to departure directly with the airline locally.

You can view your up to date itinerary online at Check my Trip

Does My Flight Baggage Allowance Include Hand Luggage?

No, you should always check the exact hand luggage allowance with your airline prior to packing. A general guide is that hand baggage should be a maximum weight of 5 kilos, and dimensions should not exceed height 450mm x width 350 mm x depth 200 mm. Most airlines have a hand baggage measurement gauge at check-in.

Will I Need A VISA Or Transit VISA For My Flight?

If you have a connecting flight via a third country, you may also require a transit visa. For further information, please contact the consulate of the country you are travelling through. For the most up to date information on visas, passports, health and travel advice worldwide, please click here.

If you do not have the correct documentation to travel, you will be turned away at check-in. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel documentation is in order. Additionally, most countries will not allow you to enter on a one-way ticket without relevant visas or documentation.

How Long Before My Departure Do I Need To Check-In?

  • International flights - check in at least 3 hours prior to departure
  • Domestic flights - check in at least 2 hours prior to departure

Boarding usually begins 45 minutes prior to departure.

Some airlines now allow you to check in online. Please check your airline's website for details.

Note: If you arrive at the airport later than your specified check-in time, we will not accept responsibility if you are unable to travel.

What Is A Schedule Change?

From time to time an airline may change the times/route/dates of your flight. If the time changes by more than 40 minutes then we will contact you to notify you of the change. This will be via e-mail or mail.

You must reply to accept the change by e-mailing res@farestore.com

You must reply within 14 days of receiving your notification. Failure to do so may invalidate your booking.

What If I Do Not Agree With The Schedule Change?

If you are unhappy with the change of your flight please contact us via e-mail on res@farestore.com or phone us at 1 800 259 2193.

We will contact the airline to discuss other options. Please note this is only applicable if the airline has other options to offer.

Can I Collect My Air Miles If I Book With You?

Most airlines have their own frequent flyer schemes, some of which are linked to other airlines with whom they operate in partnership.

Not all fares are eligible to accrue bonus points with some airlines. Your membership details will explain in more detail which fares will be eligible.

It is not possible for points to be redeemed by us to provide you with the rewards offered by the airline. This must be done through the membership scheme directly

For more information please contact res@farestore.com

Can I Book A Flight For An Unaccompanied Minor?

Unfortunately we are unable to book any children travelling alone. Please note that some airlines do not permit anyone under 16 years of age to travel alone.

Can I Change My Flight Date?

Date changes can incur fees up to 100% of the ticket cost.

Please email res@farestore.com for more information on your tickets.

What Happens If I Need To Cancel My Travel Arrangements?

If you have questions or issues relating to cancellations (flight, accommodation, car hire), please contact our refunds and cancellations department by telephoning 1-800-259-2193. If you can, please specify the nature of your enquiry along with any booking reference numbers and any other relevant details. Please note that charges are made for all cancellations which will vary according to the type of arrangements you have booked and any monies subsequently refunded to you will have taken these charges into account. Should your reason for cancelling fall within the terms of any travel insurance you may have already taken out, then it may be possible to re-claim some of the losses incurred through cancellation through your insurance company.

How Much Time Does It Take For The Refunds To Reflect On My Credit Card?

The time taken for the refunds to be processed varies depending on the nature of claim and the respective airline policies. Although the amount should reflect on your bank/card statement within 6-8 weeks from the date of applying, at times it could take longer.
